“As melodramatic as it may sound, I was at the end of my rope. Pain had
become a constant partner and I wanted a divorce. I honestly could not see
living in pain. Not being able to participate in the activities I enjoyed made
me miserable.
I was tired of the medical professions guesswork and only alternative –
surgery. Back in 1997 I had emergency surgery on my left leg, I had something
called Compartment Syndrome. No one at that time or after could tell me what
caused this. When it came to after care, it was more guesswork and no results.
I was afraid I was going to be in pain the rest of my life and eventually using
a walker. And my enjoyment of playing golf or any other sport was being ruined.
My boss, at the time, mentioned Performance Chiropractic. He said he was able
to finally find relief from the pain he had been living with. That they were
not your usual chiropractors, that they used Active Release Technique and
focused on results. My boss was not one easily swayed by snake oil salesmen,
which was how I classified "chiropractors." The fact that he was not going back
for continued "treatments" also made me curious.
Suffice it to say, I went to see Dr. Chris Barney and the team at Performance
Chiropractic. When I filled out my initial symptoms paperwork there was not a
spot on the body that I didn’t have circled. They let me know upfront that I
might not get back to 100%, but that I would see results and we would later
determine how much better I could get. They also made it clear that there was
an end date on my treatment, that this was not a lifetime of coming in for
regular visits.
Thanks to Performance Chiropractic I have more movement and am not bothered by
pain on a daily basis. My golf game is going better than ever and I hope to
continue to enjoy a pain-free routine.”
